3 Simple Meditation Techniques for Beginners

3 Simple Meditation Techniques for Beginners

What meditation techniques for beginners can be effective to bring about peace of mind? Let us now touch on a couple of very simple meditation techniques a woman can practice and how to achieve the right mindset for the success of the meditation.

1. Breathing. This is one of the easier meditation techniques for beginners who are starting from scratch. You may disagree with this, after all, all of us breathe every second. But, it is not about breathing to stay alive. That is entirely different. Many breathing practitioners believe that meditation is enhanced with simple breathing techniques. This method does not involve strict rules. However, it is essential that you are comfortable whether sitting in a sofa, a chair, or lying down. With this breathing technique, you begin to breathe at slow pace from the nose with your eyes closed. In order to get the best out of this, you need to sit up in your chair or wherever you are right now. Then, take five deep breaths through the nose and out through the mouth. Take a moment to reflect. You will discover that you feel more relaxed than you were a couple of minutes ago. As you can see, through a series of timed breathing and exhaling over a short period time, a meditative state of mind can be attained.

2. Concentration. Another important meditation technique for beginners that you can practice is concentration, which is the act of being present in every moment. Practicing concentration whenever the chance present itself will not only improve the quality of your life by leaps and bounds, but your meditation practice will be improved dramatically. That is great, not so? So what exactly is the best way we can implement this technique? The important thing is try to be present in every act you perform throughout the day. For instance, if you are doing your laundry or dishes, just try to focus on that act alone. You should sense the cold water rush over your hands, smell the scents coming from your dish soap, and try to focus on your breathing at that time. You can apply this technique to everything you do throughout your day. The benefit is that it can add meaning to the quality of your life and even to the most mundane matters.

3. Meditate at the Right Time. You may wonder why this is included. Well, it is important to meditate at the right time for maximum result. Although, you can practice meditation at any moment, a lot of women who were just starting out discovered that early morning meditation practice is more helpful. There is no hard and fast rule on this. You can practice meditation at different time of the day and try to discover which period of the day is suitable for you and stick to it.
